Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains the processing of personal data by Betcenter Group nv, Leopoldplein 16/2, 3500 Hasselt, Belgium (hereinafter: BETCENTER).

1. Processing of personal data

All personal data is processed in accordance with legal provisions and the General Data Protection Regulation. Only persons authorized by BETCENTER to do so and who have the right to access personal data in the course of performing their job can view this data.

1.1 Registration and identification

When a customer registers in person for the first time and creates a betting account, he provides the following personal data in accordance with applicable legislation:

  • masterdata (first and last name, place of residence, date of birth, nationality etc.);
  • contact details (valid email address, optional: valid phone number);
  • username and password or PIN code (to be freely chosen by the customer);
  • account settings (default usage, currency, etc.);
  • the data or a copy of a valid, official photo identification document that meets the national requirements for passports and identification documents;
  • profession, national register number.

The customer is required by law and/or for the fulfillment of the contract with BETCENTER to provide this information (with the exception of the account settings). Without this information, BETCENTER cannot fulfill its legal or contractual obligations and therefore cannot enter into a contractual relationship with the customer. (The account settings are used to adjust the betting account and the default settings for bets.)

Furthermore, the data is processed or collected during registration and thereafter partially continuously as follows:

  • Upon registration, the data provided by the customer is compared with the database of an identity verification provider to help BETCENTER verify the customer"s identity and address.
  • The statutory minimum age is also checked upon registration by comparing the national register number with a national or regional database in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Upon registration and subsequently at periodic intervals, the law also prescribes a check to verify whether the customer is not a "politically prominent person". This is done by comparing the data provided by the customer with a suitable database.
  • Furthermore, there is a legal obligation to compare the data provided by the customer, first upon registration and subsequently whenever the customer logs in or places a bet, with the respective blacklists or sanctions lists of the region(s) in question.
  • To prevent money laundering and to comply with player protection regulations, additional risk mitigation evidence may be required upon registration and subsequently at periodic intervals in accordance with the respective legal provisions. Specialized providers may also verify personal data if necessary. Such evidence includes, for example, a legalized copy of a passport, proof of registration, the customer"s profession, the origin of funds wagered on betting, credit reports, etc.
  • Standard payment and betting limits are set upon registration.
  • If the customer orders the optional loyalty card, a loyalty card is issued and the customer receives their own customer number.

The recipients of this data are:

  • authorities, government agencies and courts through legal obligations to disclose information;
  • database providers that perform identity and credit checks;
  • database providers that maintain registers of politically prominent persons;
  • IT providers;
  • tax consultants;
  • authorities and government institutions required to compare data with a database to verify age and national register number and check whether the customer is blocked.

The above-mentioned data, collected upon registration and subsequently updated if necessary, are stored for as long as a business relationship exists and for as long as required by statutory retention obligations.

1.2 Payments and cash withdrawals

Every customer receives a betting account upon registration, on which their payments and withdrawals are recorded.

At the latest upon payment of the first winnings, BETCENTER must have verified the customer"s identity in accordance with legal obligations to verify that each person receiving a payment is indeed the registered customer. If no alternative payment method was chosen, BETCENTER also requires bank details to process the payment.

During payments, the following data is collected:

  • data of the transaction (identity, date and time, IP address etc.);
  • billing and payment details (amount, payment confirmation or refusal etc.);
  • bank details (account holder name, bank name, IBAN, BIC);
  • specific details about the payment (mobile phone number, etc.);
  • compliance with the limits.

The customer is required to provide this information to fulfill their contractual and legal obligations. Without this information, BETCENTER cannot make payments or pay out winnings.

The recipients of this data are:

  • authorities, government agencies and courts through legal obligations to disclose information;
  • banks and payment service providers;

  • details about the bet (number, subject of the bet, event and odds, stake, winnings etc.);
  • compliance with the limit;

BETCENTER is required to collect this data in order to fulfill its legal and contractual obligations. Without this data, BETCENTER cannot accept bets.

In addition, in case of suspected fraud, BETCENTER will also collect the following data:

However, BETCENTER only transfers customer personal data to countries for which the European Commission has determined that they maintain a comparable level of data protection or take measures to ensure that all recipients have an adequate level of data protection. To this end, BETCENTER concludes standard contractual clauses, for example. These are available by email upon request.

E2 (Adition)

The platform uses cookies. Cookies are small text files or simple pieces of information in a database that are stored in your browser. The data in the cookies can only be read again by the platform that originally stored them. On the one hand, the platform uses cookies when you log in to your account. These cookies ensure that only you have access to the data stored in your customer account after you have logged in. For this purpose, a session ID is stored in the cookie. After logging out, the cookie containing the ID is deleted. On the other hand, cookies are used when you visit a webpage that uses the platform, or, in other words, when you visit a website that offers advertising via the platform or that is preparing to offer advertising. These cookies are intended to offer advertising that aligns with specific target groups and interests. During that process, an advertising ID is stored in the cookie (so that, for example, you do not keep seeing the same advertisements over and over again). This ID can also be assigned to advertising target groups (such as age 18-35/interest in cars). However, these target groups may correspond to a larger group of people, both individually and collectively. This means that the operator cannot identify you as a person based on the ID itself or the ID of the assigned target groups. Cookies with an advertising ID may also be used by customers on whose behalf the operator processes data when offering advertising via the platform. The operator"s customers can assign the advertising ID to their own ID with advertising target groups. In this case, however, the respective customer to whom the privacy statement on the website you visited applies is responsible for the data processing. The cookies used by the platform do not harm your device (e.g. PC/tablet). In particular, they do not contain viruses. You can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. In that case, you may no longer be able to fully utilize all the functions of the platform or the visited website. This also applies to the deletion of stored cookies. To deactivate E2 (Adition), click on the following link to set an opt-out cookie: deactivate E2 (Adition).

DoubleClick

This website uses DoubleClick, a service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043). DoubleClick is used to display advertisements when you visit our website. DoubleClick uses information (but not personal data such as your name or email address) about your visits to this and other websites so that advertisements can appear regarding products and services that interest you. If you would like to learn more about these methods or know what options are available to prevent DoubleClick from using this data, please click here: http://www.google.de/policies/technologies/ads/.

Facebook Pixel and Facebook marketing services

Based on our reasonable interests in the analysis, optimization, and commercial activity of our website, we have decided to implement the so-called "Facebook Pixel" from the social networking site Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA or, if you are an EU citizen, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland).

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield and therefore guarantees that it complies with European data protection legislation (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).

With the Pixel, Facebook can identify visitors to our website as a target audience to whom it can then show specific advertisements, the so-called "Facebook Ads". We use the Facebook Pixel to show our Facebook Ads only to those Facebook users who have shown interest in our website or certain characteristics that we have recorded on Facebook (e.g., interest in certain topics or products determined based on the websites they have visited) (so-called "audiences"). With the Facebook Pixel, we want to ensure that our Facebook Ads are tailored to users" potential interests and do not annoy them. The Facebook Pixel also allows us to determine the effectiveness of Facebook Ads for statistical purposes and market research, as we can see whether users have been redirected to our website by clicking on a Facebook Ad (so-called "conversion").

The Facebook Pixel connects directly to Facebook when our websites are visited and stores a cookie, a small file, on your device. If you subsequently log in to Facebook or are already logged in to Facebook, your website visit will be stored in your profile. The data collected about you is anonymous, so we cannot identify users. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook to enable connection with the respective user profile. Facebook may also use this data for other advertising or market research purposes. When we transmit data to Facebook for comparison purposes, it is first encrypted at the browser level and then sent to Facebook via a secure HTTPS connection. This is done solely to compare this data with data that Facebook has encrypted in a similar manner.

Facebook processes the data in accordance with its Data Policy. The respective general information regarding the display of Facebook Ads can be found in the Facebook Data Policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. Specific information and details about the Facebook Pixel and how it works can be found in the Facebook Help Center: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

You can opt out of the collection of your data by the Facebook Pixel and its use to display Facebook Ads. To determine which types of ads you see, go to Facebook page settings and follow the steps to change your usage-based ad preferences: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform-independent, meaning they apply to all devices, such as desktops and mobile devices.

To refuse the collection of your data on our website by the Facebook Pixel, you must tick the following box:

Web tracking on this page is: Disabled. Enable now

Notes: As soon as you click on the link, an opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete cookies from your browser, you must click on the link again. This opt-out option applies only to the browser you used to open the link and only within our web domain.

You can also refuse to have cookies used for reach measurement and advertising purposes stored on your device via the NAI Consumer Opt-Out website http://optout.networkadvertising.org/, the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices or the European website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

Google Adwords

We use Google AdWords Remarketing (from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to advertise our services on the web. We also use it for marketing that is relevant to you. By placing a cookie on your device, Google AdWords Remarketing shows you tailored advertisements based on the parts of our website you visit. This cookie cannot identify you or provide access to your computer. Instead, the cookie recognizes that you have visited a page, and you are shown advertisements related to the topic of that page.

If you do not consent to tracking, you can object to this by changing the respective setting of your browser software to prevent cookies from being installed (disable option). You will then not be included in conversion tracking statistics. More information and Google"s privacy policy can be found here: http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ and: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Analytics uses various techniques, including so-called "cookies", or small text files that are stored on your computer, to analyze how users use a site. The data collected by Google Analytics regarding your use of the website is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers that may be managed outside the member states of the European Union or outside the signatories of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. If IP anonymization is enabled within the Google Analytics tracking code for this website, Google will anonymize your IP address before transmission. This website uses a Google Analytics tracking code to which the operator "gat._anonymizelp();" adds in order to collect IP addresses in an anonymized manner (the so-called "hiding"). Google will use this data on behalf of the website administrator to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to offer other services to the website administrator regarding website activity and internet usage. Google Analytics will not link your IP address to other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of Google cookies by adjusting the respective settings of your browser. Please note that in that case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.
