Betting Accounts

Your Betcenter account allows you to place sports bets, manage your funds and keep track of your betting activity in a secure environment. This page explains how your account works and how to use it safely.

Creating a Betcenter Account

To place bets on www.betcenter.be, you must have a valid Betcenter account and meet the legal requirements for gambling in Belgium. In our physical betting shops you can play without being registered (an EPIS-check is merely a verification, not registration) until certain thresholds in terms of stake or winnings reached.

For the registration to be successfully completed you must:

• be at least 21 years old;
• provide accurate and complete personal information;
• successfully complete the required identity and eligibility checks; and
• not be excluded from gambling or otherwise prohibited from participating under Belgian law.

During registration, we may ask you to provide information or documents necessary to verify your identity. Betcenter may also carry out checks required under Belgian gambling, anti-money laundering and other applicable legislation.

Your account is personal. You may not create an account for another person, allow another person to use your account or use another person"s account.

Identity and EPIS checks

Before allowing access to gambling, Betcenter carries out the checks required by Belgian law, including age verification and a verification against the Excluded Persons Information System (EPIS) where applicable.

If you are registered in EPIS or otherwise legally prohibited from gambling, you will not be permitted to place bets or be allowed to enter our betting shops.

Depositing Money

Once your account is active, you can deposit money using the payment methods available in the Deposit section of your account.

Payment methods may vary. Certain payment methods may require additional verification before they can be used.

For your protection and to comply with applicable legislation, Betcenter may:

• verify that a payment method belongs to you and is registered in your name;
• request additional information concerning a payment or the source of funds;
• refuse or return a payment where required for security or compliance reasons; or
• temporarily restrict transactions while additional checks are being carried out.

Weekly deposit limit

Belgian law applies a standard maximum deposit limit of €200 per week to an online player account. This is calculated over a 7-day period starting from the first deposit.

You can always choose a lower limit if you want greater control over your gambling expenditure.

If you feel comfortable you may also chose to increase the abovementioned weekly deposit limit. Please note that the Belgian Gambling Act requires us to request approval which takes 72 hours following this request. After those 72 hours, unless you would decide to cancel your request, the new increased deposit limit shall be active.

Withdrawing Money

You can request a withdrawal of your available account balance through the Withdrawal section of your account.

Where possible and appropriate, withdrawals may be made using a payment method registered or verified in your name.

Before processing a withdrawal, Betcenter may need to perform identity, payment or compliance checks. We may therefore request additional documentation before a withdrawal can be completed.

Processing times may differ depending on the payment method and the checks that are required.

Betcenter will never require you to continue gambling or wager your existing balance before allowing a legitimate withdrawal, subject to applicable legal, security and compliance requirements.

Keeping Your Account Secure

Your account contains personal and financial information. You should therefore keep your login credentials secure at all times.

Never:

• share your password or security information with another person;
• allow another person to place bets through your account;
• leave your account logged in on a shared or public device; or
• provide login details in response to suspicious emails, messages or telephone calls.

Betcenter will never ask you to disclose your complete password.

If you believe that someone else may have accessed your account, change your password immediately and contact Betcenter Customer Support via [email protected].

We may temporarily restrict access to an account if we identify unusual activity or have reasonable security concerns including but not limited to third party use of the account.

Placing a Bet

To place a sports bet:

1. Select the sport, competition or event you want to bet on.
2. Select the relevant betting market and selection.
3. Your selection will be added to your bet slip.
4. Enter the amount you want to stake.
5. Review your selection, odds, stake and potential return.
6. Confirm your bet.

A bet is only accepted once it has been successfully registered by Betcenter"s betting system.

Depending on the event and market, odds may change before your bet is accepted. If this happens, you may be asked to accept the updated odds before placing the bet.

Betcenter offers different types of bets, including single, combination and system bets. The options available depend on the relevant sport, event and market.

Once a bet has been accepted by Betcenter, it generally cannot be changed or cancelled unless specifically permitted under the applicable betting rules or functionality offered by Betcenter. Please note that in accordance with it Terms and Conditions Betcenter may reserve the right to cancel, rectify or alter placed bets. We will do our utmost best to inform you properly of the reasons why.

Your Betting History

Your account provides access to information about your betting activity. This allows you to review your bets and keep track of your gambling expenditure.

We recommend checking your betting activity regularly and considering not only your winnings, but also the total amount you have deposited, staked and lost over time.

One Account – One Player

Your Betcenter account is strictly personal.

Do not allow friends, family members or anyone else to use your account, even if they are legally permitted to gamble themselves.

If Betcenter suspects that an account is being used by someone other than the registered account holder, we may temporarily restrict the account while we investigate.
